Rockwell Rumbles Recap: Growth, Grit, and Strong Performances
The Rockwell Rumbles provided a challenging and rewarding weekend of competition for the Bruins, with both JV and Varsity squads gaining valuable experience against deep fields and talented opponents. From individual podium finishes to strong team results, the tournament highlighted the continued growth and effort across the program.
The JV Bruins turned in an outstanding performance, finishing 7th out of 52 teams. Competing in a large and competitive bracket, the JV wrestlers showed resilience, preparation, and teamwork throughout the day. Led by Coach Lang, the team supported one another through long matches and tough situations, proving the strength and depth of the programโs future.
Several JV wrestlers earned notable individual finishes. Coleman Judd led the way with an impressive 3rd place finish, wrestling with confidence and consistency throughout the tournament. Asher Keith battled hard to earn 5th place, showing determination and continued improvement in every match. Crew McGee and Quinn Mannin each fought through tough brackets to secure 7th place finishes, gaining valuable experience and demonstrating grit against strong competition.
On the varsity side, the Varsity Bruins faced one of the largest and most competitive fields of the season, finishing 20th out of 70 teams. Against elite opponents, the team competed with toughness, composure, and pride. Each match provided important lessons and momentum as the season continues to progress.
The Rockwell Rumbles were about more than placementsโthey were about development, resilience, and building confidence. From the youngest JV wrestlers to the varsity lineup, the Bruins represented the program with effort, sportsmanship, and unity. The experience gained at Rockwell will serve as a strong foundation moving forward as the team continues to train, improve, and compete together.
