The Mountain View Boys Wrestling Team delivered a dominant performance at the Annual Blackhawk Duals in Salina, Utah, from June 10th-13th. Competing with 29 wrestlers split into two squads, the Bruins showed their depth and resilience by wrestling in an impressive 22 duals over the course of the tournament.

The JV squad put up a strong fight, winning over half of their matches, gaining invaluable experience along the way. Meanwhile, the varsity team made a statement by securing first place, highlighted by a marquee victory over Spanish Fork, the returning 5A state champions. This triumph solidifies Mountain View as a serious contender heading into the upcoming season.

Leading the charge was Isaac McGee, a 215-pound upcoming senior, who dominated the tournament with a perfect 22-0 record. His outstanding performance exemplified the hard work and dedication of the entire Bruins squad.

Off the mat, the team bonded through valuable coaching moments with Head Coach Hank Weiss, who provided key instruction and motivation throughout the tournament. The experience was capped off with a memorable team campfire, fostering camaraderie and team spirit.

With such a strong showing at the Blackhawk Duals, Mountain View Wrestling continues to build momentum for what promises to be an exciting season ahead.
