Join the Future of Wrestling

Traven Blevins, Jonathan Herring, Landon Shumway, and Ryan Jex all took to the mat on Saturday with J Den Cox. Cox is a 2x world champion in freestyle wrestling and helped our bruins understand the technical, physical and mental attributes needed to succeed in wrestling and life.

Four lucky Bruins had the incredible opportunity to learn from one of the best in the sport—two-time world champion and six-time medalist J’den Cox! As an accomplished wrestler known for his technique, strength, and mental toughness, Cox brought an unmatched level of expertise to the training session.

The Bruins were able to experience firsthand his world-class instruction, gaining insight into the techniques and mindset that have made him one of the most dominant wrestlers in the world. From strategic takedowns to elite-level mat control, Cox shared valuable lessons that will no doubt have a lasting impact on these athletes.

Not only was Cox an amazing clinician, but his presence and passion for the sport left an unforgettable impression on everyone in attendance. His dedication to teaching and his willingness to share his knowledge made this a truly special experience for the Bruins.

The Bruin Wrestling Club extends its deepest gratitude to J’den Cox for taking the time to work with these athletes and help them grow in the sport.

About

Wrestling is one of the oldest and most respected sports, combining strategy, skill, and athleticism. It challenges both the body and mind, teaching endurance, discipline, and mental toughness. Beyond the mat, wrestlers gain life skills like perseverance, respect, and confidence. More than a sport, wrestling shapes character, builds friendships, and fosters success on and off the mat.
