Join the Future of Wrestling

. Joe Blackwell has been wrestling since the 7th grade, steadily growing in the sport and becoming a valued part of our program through his consistency and dedication.

When asked about his favorite wrestling memory, Joe points to the yearly Salina trip. More than just a tournament, itโ€™s a tradition filled with competition, travel, laughs, and the kind of team bonding that makes high school wrestling special.

As graduation approaches, Joe knows exactly what heโ€™ll miss the mostโ€”besides hearing his mom cheer for him from the stands. Heโ€™ll miss seeing his teammates every day at practice and sharing the daily grind that builds both strong wrestlers and strong friendships.

After high school, Joe plans to serve a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Weโ€™re grateful for the commitment and positivity Joe has brought to our team, and we wish him the very best in this next chapter.

About

Wrestling is one of the oldest and most respected sports, combining strategy, skill, and athleticism. It challenges both the body and mind, teaching endurance, discipline, and mental toughness. Beyond the mat, wrestlers gain life skills like perseverance, respect, and confidence. More than a sport, wrestling shapes character, builds friendships, and fosters success on and off the mat.
