Join the Future of Wrestling

. Sawyer Grow began his wrestling journey in the 10th grade, quickly embracing the sport and becoming a valued member of our team.

His favorite wrestling memory? The Salina trip during his sophomore yearโ€”meeting his teammates and winning his first match. It was a moment that highlighted both the excitement of competition and the bonds formed through wrestling.

As he looks back on his high school career, the thing Sawyer will miss the most isnโ€™t just the sport itselfโ€”itโ€™s being in shape, tackling the stairs, and being part of a tight-knit team. He values the camaraderie of his teammates, calling them โ€œthe best group of boys Mountain View has to offer,โ€ always someone he could count on, both on and off the mats.

After high school, Sawyer plans to have nose surgery to repair wrestling-related damage and then serve a two-year mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Weโ€™re proud of Sawyer for his dedication, perseverance, and the positive impact heโ€™s had on our program. We wish him the very best in the next chapter of his journey.

About

Wrestling is one of the oldest and most respected sports, combining strategy, skill, and athleticism. It challenges both the body and mind, teaching endurance, discipline, and mental toughness. Beyond the mat, wrestlers gain life skills like perseverance, respect, and confidence. More than a sport, wrestling shapes character, builds friendships, and fosters success on and off the mat.
