Join the Future of Wrestling

The Bruin Wrestling Club recently hosted another successful two-day wrestling camp, providing young athletes with the opportunity to refine their skills under the guidance of elite talent. The camp focused on crucial aspects of wrestling, including hand fighting and escape techniques, to help participants enhance their competitive edge.

Leading the camp as the head clinician was High School All-American and current Utah Valley University (UVU) wrestler, Tanner Lofthouse. With years of experience and a deep understanding of the sport, Lofthouse shared invaluable techniques and insights, giving attendees a firsthand look at the discipline and dedication required to excel in wrestling.

Throughout the camp, wrestlers engaged in rigorous drills, learning the fundamentals of controlling ties, improving positioning, and executing effective escapes. Lofthouse’s hands-on approach and personalized coaching ensured that each participant left with new skills and a greater appreciation for the sport.

The event was made even more memorable thanks to the wonderful photography captured by Rachel Page. Her keen eye and dedication to documenting the event helped preserve the energy and excitement of the camp, allowing wrestlers and their families to cherish the experience.

The Bruin Wrestling Club extends its gratitude to Tanner Lofthouse for sharing his expertise and to all the participants who showed up ready to learn and improve. The club remains committed to fostering growth in young wrestlers and looks forward to hosting more camps in the future.

About

Wrestling is one of the oldest and most respected sports, combining strategy, skill, and athleticism. It challenges both the body and mind, teaching endurance, discipline, and mental toughness. Beyond the mat, wrestlers gain life skills like perseverance, respect, and confidence. More than a sport, wrestling shapes character, builds friendships, and fosters success on and off the mat.
