. Brigham Cooksonโs wrestling journey started in the 8th gradeโat first, not entirely by choice. His parents signed him up, but by 9th grade, Brigham made the decision for himself, even choosing wrestling practice over piano practice. From that point on, the sport became something he truly owned.
When asked about his favorite wrestling memory, Brigham doesnโt point to a single match or medal. Instead, he talks about the simple moments at open matโmessing around with teammates, trying new moves, and enjoying the process of learning and improving.
As graduation approaches, Brigham is very clear about one thing he wonโt miss: the weight cuts. But what he will miss deeply are the team dynamics, the relationships with his coaches, and the opportunity to compete and push himself to get better every season.
After high school, Brigham plans to serve an LDS mission, attend college, and possibly continue his wrestling career.
Weโre proud of the growth, dedication, and positive attitude Brigham has brought to our program, and we wish him the best in everything that comes next.
