Bruin Wrestling Defeats Payson!

For the first time in over 20 years, the Mountain View Bruins defeated Payson in a thrilling boys’ wrestling dual! The intense matchup ended with a final score of 39-36, marking a monumental achievement for the Bruins and solidifying their place as a force to be reckoned with in Utah wrestling.

Payson, known for its strong wrestling tradition, provided an incredible atmosphere that heightened the intensity of the competition. Both teams put on an electrifying display of skill, determination, and sportsmanship, making for a dual that won’t soon be forgotten.

A special recognition goes to Brigham Cookson, who earned the title of Wrestler of the Day. Cookson delivered an outstanding performance, securing a technical fall victory over the No. 2 ranked wrestler in the state.
